How to vote · Ward 1

Vote early. It's the easy way.

You don't have to wait for Election Day. In Arkansas you can vote for two full weeks before it. No excuse is needed, and there is usually no line. Here is exactly when and where.

Mon–Fri 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Saturdays, Oct 24 and Oct 31: 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Last day (Mon Nov 2) until 5:00 p.m.

Where

Phillips County Courthouse, first floor
620 Cherry St, downtown Helena
The only early-voting site.

Bring

A photo ID.

Who

Any registered voter in Phillips County. No reason or excuse needed.

Find me on the ballot

Front page, right-hand column, under Mayor and City Treasurer.

Look for HWH-ALDERMAN-WARD 1 POSITION 1. Four candidates are listed in a fixed order on every ballot. I am last: Robert Cheek.

Election Day

Tuesday, Nov 3, 2026 · 7:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m.

Vote at any of the county's six vote centers. Any registered voter can use any site. Bring a photo ID.

Absentee (by mail)

Request by Oct 27 · return by Nov 3

For voters who can't get to the polls because of illness or disability, or military or overseas service.

  • Request a ballot from the County Clerk by Oct 27 (mail/email/fax) or in person by Oct 30.
  • Your voted ballot must reach the Clerk by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, Nov 3.
